Since 1987, Nikkei Voice has been delivering quality news, stories, and reporting to the Japanese Canadian community. In 2013, we are going strong and looking down the road to see what comes next.
For the past three weeks, I have been spending time learning about Nikkei Voice, learning about our community, and learning about how best to serve your needs as readers. It’s a lot of responsibility to take on the Managing Editor position here at Nikkei Voice and it’s certainly challenging considering how many stories can appear in a week’s time.
I’m happy to say that our September issue is shaping up really well with some amazing stories from our writers and some great interviews you are going to love. You can look forward to some quality content from all around Canada and be sure to check back here as we continue to update our website.
Along with the next edition of our newspaper is this website. Nikkei Voice is in the process of expanding our online presence by bringing you great content, by sharing great links to other articles, and by using social media to start conversations with our readers. We have also just implemented a way for subscribers to purchase or renew subscriptions right on the website! Be sure to check out the options available to you and our special deal for a Hatsumi DVD.
As well, there are a number of events coming up in the next few weeks that you should be sure to attend. This Saturday, Nikkei Voice will be present at the National Ethnic Press Media Council of Canada at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto. We will be there along with a number of the 400 other ethnic newspapers, media organizations, and broadcasters here in Canada.
August and September are shaping up to be exciting months at Nikkei Voice. Be sure to contact us here if you have any inquiries you wish to make about the newspaper or if you have any stories you would like to write for our amazing audience. Hope you enjoy your weekend!
