WINNIPEG — The Japanese Cultural Association of Manitoba (JCAM) wound up another successful run as the Japanese Pavilion during Folklorama, the world’s largest and longest-running multicultural festival.
Not only does the Japanese Pavilion present outstanding entertainment, food, and drink, but it is the one event that brings family and friends together for a week of fun, hard work, and camaraderie.
Led by pavilion coordinator Les Kojima and his committee, hundreds of volunteers cooked, cleaned, performed, served, and did countless other jobs that kept the pavilion running smoothly throughout the week.
Pavilion ambassadors Rhea Teranishi, Miwako Miyoshi, Minami Tokairin, Nicolai Kazuyuki Diaz Tsuzuki, and greeter Daniel Cowen were the gracious hosts who greeted each visitor as they entered. Special guest performers were Karakoro Eisa from Osaka.
